TAYLOR STOLWORTHY - Top 5 Performances

1. Into the Woods

My first performance on the Avon stage was performing in Into the Woods! I performed as Jack, from the childhood tale “Jack in the Beanstalk,” and had a show-stopping solo! I also dyed my hair orange for the musical!

2. A Midsummer Night's Dream

In the spring, I participated in an exciting Shakespeare play as Nick Bottom, a self-centered actor who thinks he’s better than he really is! Hey, that sounds a bit like me in a way...

3. The Cripple of Inishmaan

Next spring was one of my favorite performances...the Cripple of Inishmaan as Johnnypateenmike, a traveling news salesman who will sell “three biteens of news for a dozen eggs!” I was able to learn an Irish accent which fun fact, impressed ESPN College Gameday’s Rece Davis!

(Long story, feel free to ask me about it!)

4. Guys and Dolls

The next fall was my final musical at AOF, and what you have been hearing in the background. Nicely-Nicely Johnson was a super nice role to play (see what I did there) and had a fun solo number! Even though my voice had matured to a baritone level, I still did my best to hit the high tenor notes in his solo piece, “Sit Down, You’re Rocking the Boat!”

5. Noises Off

My final performance on the Avon stage was truly the best of all. Noises Off is a hilarious comedy of errors. The hard part? The fact that these errors are carefully choreographed to be right.
