The Weeknd, also known as Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, is a Canadian pop/R&B singer.

Known for his versatility and blend of styles of music, he is admired as a contemporary artist.

Rising to fame in 2011, he released his fist mixtape that would then be compiled with others to create his first album released in 2012.

From there on he began to work with numerous artists, such as Drake, Wiz Khalifa, Ariana Grande, Kendrick Lamar, Calvin Harris, Maluma, and much more.

The Weeknd went on to perform for the 2021 Super Bowl LV Halftime Show hosted in Tampa, Florida.

Perfoming songs both from his most recent album, "Blinding Lights", and his Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hits, "Starboy", "The Hills", and "Can't Feel My Face", the Weeknd made a statement during the halftime performance.
