"Having the ability to percive the world differently from what you can already discern, shows true strength of the mind."
Based on the studies surrounding the ideas of fixed vs. growth mindsets, Introspection explores the relationship viewers have with what is seen and experienced from different point of views. Everyone has various backgrounds, which allows each of us to formulate different lenses to perceive and internalize the things of this world. Introspection challenges the viewer to expand beyond their own point of view and look at things through various perspectives. Being in this state of mind allows room for the potential to be enlightened beyond what we can already discern.
The space contains a divided curtain of 72 red and 72 cyan light gels and a 1920px X 1080px looping animation on a 120-inch screen to create three different perspectives of the same image. The installation implements the methods of the anaglyph, which uses both red and cyan to add and subtract elements from an image. This creates an immersive simulation of the different lenses we all use to make sense of the world around us.

A demonstration of what would be seen in person at the installation using the light gels to look at the animations.
