My research actually began long before I had this project in mind! Although my inspirations helped me conceptually prepare for my concept, I credit a lot of my idea to the ancient philosopher Plato, in particular, his Allegory of the Cave. This lesson that Plato teaches is an ingenious metaphor for the journey to becoming enlightened. Ever since I read the pages of this lesson, it has completely transformed the way I look at the world and it has got me questioning more about how we all process new information.

Communication shapes both reality and thought. Communication is also influenced by the metaphors and paradigms that individuals and groups adhere to, which is why it was so important for me to research rhizomatous dialogue theory. As you can see with the diagram, interactions whether they're positive or negative can shape where we get funneled to within society.
