My inspirations for this project have come from a wide variety of sources most notably, designers and artists from the contemporary art period. These artists are imperitive for building my concepts within my research and application phases.

Andy Warhol is an artist most known for his work during the Pop Art period that controversially blurred the lines between fine art and mainstream aesthetics. Since the beginning, Warhol has been a huge influence on my work because he created a new way to have conversations about art and design. For my project, in particular, I wanted to focus on the dialogue that Warhol instilled within his work but instead of talking about mass consumerism, I wanted to focus on how we all form different perspectives to process the things of this world.

Yayoi Kusama is also a contemporary artist that's known for her obsessive use of polka dot patterns throughout her pieces. Since she was a child, Kusama has been experiencing visual and auditory hallucinations which she translates into her work. What makes her so special to me is how she uses her unique perception of the world to show the audience a different way of looking at what's around them.

LUST studios are another inspiration for this project because they focus on interactive & kinetic design and installations. Unfortunately, the studio had to close down, but I often go to their online archive to gather information for user interaction.
