For this project, we were asked to research, write, and design a forty-plus page book examining typography in some aspect of contemporary American culture. Because of my love of men's magazine design, I decided to examine the typography used by Esquire, GQ, WIRED, and ESPN magazines. Above are a few selected spreads.

Created for a package design project, these bags were born out of looking at the amount of paper coffee bags I was using a week and thinking, "There has to be a better way to do this." Hand sewn, these canvas bags with snap enclosure allow the customer to reuse the bags when purchasing coffee beans at this fictional coffee shop. The design was created to showcase patterns and typography, and to make buying coffee a bit more fun.
